The Gardens behind what is now Bath Rugby Club and cricket ground are ripe for redevelopment. They contain a controversial recreation centre developed in the early 1970s. The design of the centre was described by the Royal Fine Art Commission as “heavy and monolithic“, but located in visible and prime location next to river setting and historic core. There are gardens behind Bath Rugby Club and cricket ground and a controversial Recreation Centre which was developed in the early 1970s.
