Professor Gerd Masselink - Settling Velocity of Sand

Sediment size plays a crucial role in sediment transport processes, because it affects the entrainment, transport and deposition of sediment particles. This project introduces the concept of settling velocity and allows you to get a feel for how settling velocity is related to sediment size and density.
